Having a keen interest in both Sardinia and The Seychelles I found this book wonderful. It’s a great factual story from the author’s own encounters and he made it a page turner for me, he had so many exciting and dangerous moments, met so many dubious characters and learnt a lot from his time in the Seychelles. I remember years ago reading about coups and troubles on the islands so it was good to read a first hand account of actual events and how they came about, yes, there were problems even in paradise. Made me laugh in places too especially trying to drive his moke with no tyres and being confronted with a coffin in his future mother in laws house 😂!! All in all, very interesting and easy read and loved the romance side too and how he met the love of his life. Helena sounds a very interesting lady whom I am sure could pen a few stories of her own during her early life on the islands.
I do hope his Mama still travels with her own Barilla spaghetti - it is the best 😀!
ShirleyVery interesting and easy read

I loved reading about Felice's exciting travels as a young man!
Although I've never visited the Seychelles myself, 'Spaghetti in a Suitcase' really gave me a feel for how totally beautiful the islands- and the Seychellois people- are... Even in difficult times.
Had a big smile on my face when I finished this book!

"Don't judge a book by its cover" one of my teachers used to say.
I enjoyed reading Spaghetti in a suitcase from stat to finish. Definitely a page turner in my opinion and a great advert for the beautiful islands of Seychelles.
RobertoA page turner
This is a wonderful story about a young man having the courage to leave a simpler stripped back young life to venture into a alien and exotic world. A journey of discovery, both of self and of the complications of life, set against a backdrop of revolution and a coup in a tropical paradise.
